Normal cylinder head wear and tear happens. It happens to aluminum race heads in a quarter mile. It happens to stock cast iron heads in a quarter century. The indications are the same: low valve spring tension, oil consumption or compression loss through worn valve guides, low compression due to leaking valve seats and coolant leaks into the cylinder or to the outside of the engine. Total Flow Products specializes in returning worn cylinder heads to their original specifications. Many special tools and precision machines are used, including a Serdi 100, with hundreds of pilots and seat cutters. If any process requires a tool not already in stock, Steve Sanchez will get that tool. Total Flow Products will never try to “make do” with something that “cuts close enough.” Don’t get talked into a “valve job” for your rare or highly specialized cylinder heads. The process is very important to your engine’s performance and longevity. Even a Serdi can be destructive in the wrong hands. An improper cutting tool or an inexperienced machinist can seriously damage cylinder heads. Trust Total Flow Products to maintain your cylinder heads with expertise and consistency.
