Mark Stigge’s Mini Rod, “Stud Monkey,” bested a field of twenty-eight minis at the NTPA Grand National event in Henry, Illinois. The Omaha native easily exceeded the 300 foot full pull mark by 11.3 feet, earning a spot in the pulloff.
Stigge then made the longest mini pull of the day, over three feet beyond that of runnerup and top contender, Larry Koester. “The Hemi 99 heads make significantly more power than other brands and with significantly less fuss and bother,” Said Stigge. “They don’t require a complicated fuel system, they’ll run an entire season, I hardly ever look at the valve train and I’ve never had a failure.” |
