The Texas Roadhouse Dodge Charger TAFC, with Total Flow Products-prepped heads, qualified #2 for the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series “Rage on the River” event at Gateway International Raceway, July 15.
Frank and Dan Parker, with only a skeleton team of Tom McVey and third generation crewmembers Rachel and Kyle Parker, then put together a tune-up that allowed driver Marty Nothstein to win his second Wally of the season. Nothstein had lane choice in the final round and cranked off a 5.801 ET at 253.47 MPH for the win. The weekend started off right with a party at a local Texas Roadhouse restaurant. With promotional help from NHRA, Texas Roadhouse and Gateway, a huge crowd showed up for barbeque, door prizes and a chance to see Nothstein and the race car. The Texas Roadhouse team now has a commanding lead in NHRA’s Division 3 point race and a good hold on tenth, nationally. |
